Denver Street Missionary Baptist Church Sermons

From the text of Colossians 3:16, we explore how singing to one another (even an audience of one) is an act of worship before the Lord.

Preaching, like all acts of corporate worship is not a spectator activity. Bro. Derrick unpacks the nature of the church's preaching ministry through the exhortation of Galatians 3:2-5.

While the text of Hebrews 7:25 is about the superiority of Jesus Christ as a high priest under the new covenant, the understanding given in regards to the high priest's role in making intercession for those who draw near to God through him, gives Christians an incredible insight into the nature of prayer and the role that it should play in the worship life of the church.

In part two of our ministry theme introduction, we explore the nature of true worshippers. How can we become one? Furthermore, we consider the implications of the Father seeking out such people to worship Him and the relationship between true worshippers seeking to understand God.

In this sermon, Bro. Derrick Bremer introduces the ministry theme for Denver Street Baptist Church in the new year, WORSHIP. While there is a wide variety of application that is both personal and communal as a response to a faithful reading of the Word, all application must ultimately point towards TRUE worship.
This sermon has been divided into two parts for the morning and evening services of Denver Street Baptist Church. The second part will be made available after the evening services at 6 PM.

While it is easy to simplify the Christmas festivities to an equated version of a spiritual birthday party, even a quick look at John's prologue makes it clear that the birth of the Savior was tremendously more than a beginning. In this sermon, Bro. Derrick fleshes out the conclusion and climax of John's introduction to the gospel narrative.
